911 cover-up |
|
First things First: Suspend your judgment! When discussing the topic of the 9-11 cover-up, the thing one comes up against, first and foremost, is people who already KNOW what happened and who did it...because they have read all the newspaper and magazine articles pertaining to 9-11. To question their own perspective cuts at the root of their own intellectual pride and arrogance. The possibility that our government was complicit in these attacks is simply too much for most people to wrap their minds around. Thus, it is much easier to resort to the pejorative rhetorical devices of "kook," and "conspiracy theorist." This enables the individual to avoid the hard work of thinking for themselves, as well as avoiding the task of reading through TONS of evidence and information that challenges one's entire thought paradigm. My request to the reader then is simply this: Suspend your judgment. Then immerse yourself in all of the questions and anomalies surrounding the events of 9-11. Second things: Question everything. I learned a very valuable lesson in graduate school. That lesson was to begin from this perspective: "I DON'T KNOW...LET ME INVESTIGATE FURTHER AND COMPLETELY UNDERSTAND THIS THING." Even in areas that I thought I understood, I found it helpful to suspend judgment over and over and approach matters again and again in order to avoid the problem of "assuming" to knowledge. Tear down your sacred cows. You may never get to the point where you will be able to say that you understand the who, how, and why of 9-11, but you WILL get to the point where you will recognize that the "official" story that is being peddled to you by the government and the corporate media is a load of nonsense. Third things: Think for Yourself. Ignorance is perpetuated when you allow others to do your thinking for you. Reading a bunch of newspapers and magazines does NOT make you well informed. It indoctrinates you. Spend a week doing some research and reading about "critical thinking" and "media manipulation," and you will never look at the world and corporate media the same way again. At this web site, you will never be told WHAT to think. You will be told to THINK FOR YOURSELF. Just because you don't see it in the popular media doesn't mean it isn't true. Just because 10 smart guys in your office 'looked into" the collapse of the World Trade Centers and agreed with the official story doesn't mean they are right. Nonetheless, this is the sort of thing that we allow our lazy minds to do. We accept someone else's story...because the work is too hard, because we don't feel we are qualified since we aren't "experts" in some area, and because we are too busy with important things like watching Baseball, Basketball, Football, Seinfeld, and Friends. There is a whole world of people who have few interests other than reading, thinking, and crawling through massive databases of information. They enjoy trolling through think-tanks, tracking world events, and doing "the hard work" because it is their hobby, their play, and their entertainment. Please do them a favor by not denigrating what they know simply because you have read a few newspaper and magazine articles and are unable, or unwilling, to move beyond the confines of your own supposed omniscience. Instead...do the hard work. Suspend judgment and then take a few months and dedicate yourself to exploring the questions and anomalies.
At the end of two months of reading, you still won't have all the answers. You will, however, have enough...and your life will never be the same. In the movie, The Matrix, the character Morpheus apologizes to Neo, stating that he never frees a mind after a person reaches a certain age. His reasoning isn't so far from the truth. I guess it's something like trying to pour new wine into old wineskins. It is a mind-shattering experience to have one's understanding of the world completely demolished by the power of questions and truth. The world you are living in is a lie and seeing the truth of it will make you ill. It is so ugly that you will wish you had never begun the journey down the rabbit-hole. Welcome to the real world! |
